2000 & One + Sonic Acts showcase feat.
Telcosystems “Mortal Electric”
Gert Jan Prins & Bas van Koolwijk “Synchronator”
Martijn van Boven “Point line cube cloud”

Eclectic and fervid dj - producer, 2000 & One, aka Dylan Hermelijn, after starting love for hip hop music gets on fire himself for house and techno. He ranged full universe of electronic music, from electro to drum’n’ bass, and endears very famous djs and producers like Sven Vath, Derrick May, Laurent Garnier and Luciano. Actually he plays an elegant and essential minimal techno.
Gideon Kiers, David Kiers and Lucas van der Velden are the founding members of Telcosystems. Telcosystems researches the relation between the behavior of programmed numerical logic and the perception of a conversion of this behavior into the physical world, seeking for its own narrative in the world of abstract spatial image and sound. The hallmark of their work is its lucid and restrained aestheticism, which is closely related to the technology they use. They produce films, video clips, live performances, installations, software, soundtracks, and prints.
Since the early years of video art, works have been made which do not actually produce a standard TV signal waveform and therefore cannot be directly recorded. SYNCHRONATOR is a video and audio research project by Gert‐Jan Prins and Bas van Koolwijk in an attempt to make use of the characteristic visual qualities of such techniques, while tackling the difficulties concerning recordability of the signals with a combination of current digital and analogue means.
The work of Martijn van Boven lies in the field of experimental film and computer art. Combing the techniques and possibilities of modern image processing and creation within the context of the experimental film and early computer generated films. As well the abstract films of Stan Brakhage and computer art have an influence on his works and thoughts about the creation of abstract images in relation to film.

Media crossbreeding sound contaminations, liturgical celebration of rhythm. Now in its sixth year, Sensoralia presents at Romaeuropa the different inflexions of music during the digital age. Not just a festival, Sensoralia is a dizzying journey into a universe of sound and images that stimulate the sensory perception of novices and satisfy the cravings of club culture devotees. From the original creativity of Nathan Fake to the refined purity of Dave Clarke’s techno; from the complex deconstructions of Plaid to Akouphen’s absolute crossover, passing through the electro experimentations of Boys Noize and the elegant techno minimalism of 2001&one - a selection that moves away from the facile trends of the present, offering an opportunity to discover the latest and most advanced research in contemporary groove. Sensoralia is showcasing a programme that brings together a wide variety of styles and of artists who, however, share a rediscovered taste for melody and who have all gone past the much abused aesthetics of minimalism. Somewhere between entertainment and experimentation, six suggestive live sets are in store - live sets combining music, videos and multimedia performances. A series of synesthetic experiences that set off the dance floors with sheer vitality and enthusiasm, at the same time bringing to light some of the deeper transformations underway in the contemporary world.
